Renae Griffin, Founder and Principal

Renae Griffin is Founder and Principal of RG & Associates (RG&A).   Griffin brings more than 25 years of professional financial services experience and talent to her firm.

Griffin began her career in finance in 1982 with Bankers Trust Company serving as an associate to senior officers in the commercial lending group. In 1986, Griffin joined Capital Guardian Trust Company as a marketing associate working with senior portfolio managers and marketing executives.  In 1995, she joined Progress Investment Management Company as a marketing director responsible for investor relations, institutional investor marketing and strategy to many of the largest public institutional investors in the country.

In 2001, Griffin leveraged her experience and relationships in the financial services industry to establish RG & Associates. The firm produces several annual domestic and international, independently developed educational conferences focused on bringing together financial services experts including minority and women-owned investment management firms, as well as high-ranking institutional investors in the public and private sector.  Additionally, RG & Associates develops strategic outreach and marketing tools and technology to help corporations, federal, state, and local government agencies expand relationships with potential business partners. 

Griffin holds a BS in Economics from the University of San Francisco. Griffin is a registered Certified Meeting Planner (CMP). She is a member of the National Association of Securities Professionals (NASP), Rotary International, Private Equity Women Investment Network, Council of Urban Professionals and Meeting Professionals International (MPI) organizations.

Diana McCaskill

Diana McCaskill, is a Certified Meeting Professional with 20+ years in the meeting and hospitality industry. McCaskill began her career in the hotel arena.  There she participated in a hotel management training program where she learned all aspects of the hotel business from front desk and human resources to sales.  In 1997, McCaskill was recruited to join the San Diego Convention Center as a liaison with the Convention Center Citywide Sales Team and the San Diego Convention & Visitors Bureau. 

In 1998, she joined the San Diego Convention and Visitors Bureau (SDCVB) team to start their Convention Services Department.  There she worked with large citywide conventions as a liaison between the city, hospitality community, and logistics.  During the same year, she and her husband opened a successful 3500 square foot jazz supper club in the Gaslamp Quarter of San Diego.  In 2001, McCaskill was promoted to be the Tradeshow and Special Events Manager for the SDCVB.  In this position she promoted and represented the city, hotels, venues, and vendors internationally.  This role called for McCaskill to be responsible for planning and executing 50 client events, membership meetings and tradeshows per year.  These events promoted the City of San Diego and the hospitality community to interested meeting planners internationally.  

McCaskill has worked with RG & Associates for four years.  Her upbringing in the printing industry, experience in hotels, restaurants, convention centers and convention and visitor bureaus, gives her a unique skill set as a meeting professional.  

McCaskill holds a BS in Political Science from the University of California at San Diego and has been a Certified Meeting Professional (CMP) for 15 years.
